In settling into our new home we have made so many great new friends, many of them local business owners who have been incredibly supportive. We just want to take some time to thank them and make sure you know they are here in the Valley.
Our newest Lehigh Valley foodie find is so good we've asked him to cater our wedding. Tex's Smokin Bar-B-Q is some of the best we've had this side of the Mississippi. Go find him off of Route 309, and order the brisket, the ribs, the loaded baked potato, the pulled pork; well you get the idea. Tell him Bolete sent you.
The South Side is my favorite little spot and where I went to walk around and not feel so homesick for Boston when we first got here. I made some great friends there and love the shopping. If you haven't checked it out you are missing out. They each offer their own wonderful and distinct style:

Alan at Dolce Patisserie is truly an artist. We love his cakes and confections and thank him for saving us all a trip to New York for the same quality. He is in Hellertown and we use him for all our special order cakes. Literally, his chocolates are the only thing we have ever served at Bolete that we haven't made ourselves.
Allium Design at Black River Farms is a personal floral design company recently founded by Sara Petryk. You may also know her as the Marketing and Events manager at Melt. She is fabulous, inventive and incredibly talented. She is responsible for all the indoor and outdoor florals at Bolete so you may have already seen some of her gorgeous work. Call her for a last minute arrangement or for your larger affair (bride's take notice).
If you need a fresh look for the new season then call Shannon Riveiro, 646.621.0161, for a great new "do." We are lucky enough to have stolen her from NYC and she is simply the greatest. I have referred several customers to her and they are all thrilled. I just trusted her to cut about 12 inches off mine and I love it.
